Summer’s here and what better time to get out on the coast and make the most of being in Plymouth – Britain’s Ocean City. There are some great events and activities going on around Plymouth and the surrounding coasts throughout the summer to help you make the most of our amazing shores. What’s more, many of them are free!

While you’re there, why not take a few snaps and enter your favourite photo into the #SummerinPlymouth competition? Find more details here.

Beach Rangers

The Marine Biological Association’s Beach Ranger events combine marine science and fun for families with young children. The Beach Rangers team offers crab searches, rockpooling, arts & crafts and more, and it’s a great opportunity to find out more about all the fabulously fishy things that can be found right on Plymouth’s doorstep.

Sessions will take place on Wednesdays at Teat’s Hill (PL4 0LX) and Thursdays at Kinterbury Creek (PL5 1HX), 11am – 3pm throughout August. All events are free and no need to book – just turn up.
