The cafe/bar at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre has been given a fresh new look and a new name as summer approaches - The Lookout was the most popular name chosen from a range of options from a recent Facebook poll.

The Lookout was a name suggestion by a member of staff and was then was chosen as the most popular name when we asked people to choose their preferred choice from a short-list on Facebook. We hope our current, and future customers, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the 'contemporary meets beach' style decor.

The new name certainly does justice to the views and, whilst we may be biased we think they are some of the best in Plymouth!."

Along with a new name and new look, the Centre also welcomes a new chef to the team. Gavin Hobbs has over twenty years experience in many different kitchens and companies, from corporate to privately owned hotels.

The Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre commands exceptional waterfront views across Plymouth’s Cattewater. The Centre has four main rooms that can cater for any size conference or event up to 120 people. The Centre also has additional areas such as the patio and terrace that can also be hired - perfect for corporate hospitality. The Waterside Room, the Centre's largest booking space, is very adaptable as it can be used as one large room or sectioned off - this flexibility allows the set-up and design of the room to be adapted for each individual booking. Standard conference equipment is available to hire and on-site parking is free for all conference and event attendees, subject to registration at the Centre’s reception on arrival.

The Centre also provides the perfect opportunity for team-building and corporate adventure ‘away day’ activities. Team building packages and adventure ‘away days’ are created depending on each booking’s requirements and can include sailing, power-boating, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, climbing and abseiling. On-site accommodation is also available at the Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre.
