The Fisherman's Arms

About us

Welcome to the Fisherman's Arms

Pleasantly situated overlooking the Barbican, the Fishermans Arms is a traditional pub with real ales, a warm and friendly atmosphere and a fantastic restaurant.

Reputedly the second oldest pub in Plymouth, The Fisherman’s Arms is home to a warm and friendly atmosphere and pleasantly situated overlooking the Barbican. Whether you have come for a superb pint of real ale, a glass of wine from our extensive list, coffee and to relax and socialise round our roaring fire, or to dine from our bar, carte or traditional Sunday roast menus we aim to make your visit a memorable experience.

All our ingredients are locally sourced and cooked fresh by our AA Rosette Chef. Our kitchen is tiny and requires a great deal of lateral thinking to produce food of the quality we do and we firmly believe in using local produce, in season and cooked well.

We do not believe in turning tables, and when you are here we like to think of you as our guest for the evening! If you have any questions or special requirements, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will help as best we can

We also serve a full bar menu alongside our restaurant service. On Sundays we serve a traditional roast menu.

We serve award winning Cask Marque real ales supplied by St Austell Brewery, along with a full range of spirits and fantastic wines, served by the glass. We also do a great range of specialist continental Lagers, Pilsners & Wheat Beers.

To book a table please call 01752 661457.
