Tamar Cruising
Departures regularly from the historical Mayflower Steps on Plymouths famous Barbican, with a choice of cruises up the Tamar:
A one hour Cruise passing the famous Plymouth Hoe, Smeatons Tower, Drakes Island, and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, continuing up the River Tamar, passing the Warships and Submarines. A full commentary given, highlighting points of interest and updates on visiting Naval Craft.
The Four Calstock cruise, follows 20 miles of winding waterways ,passing quaint old towns of, Torpoint and Saltash, gateway to Cornwall with its two bridges . Unfolding before us the river flows through the peaceful Tamar Valley famous for its Market Gardens.

Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery
The Museum Service looks after five historic buildings, over 300,000 artefacts, 80,000 photographs and a number of historic collections are cared for and conserved at these locations. Changing exhibitions, lunchtime talks and holiday workshops are held at the City Museum and Art Gallery throughout the year.
Smeatons Tower
A centrepiece on Plymouth's Hoe, Smeaton's Tower has become one of the South West's most well known landmarks.The lighthouse was originally built on the Eddystone reef in 1759 at a cost of £40,000, but was taken down in the early 1880s when it was discovered that the sea was undermining the rock it was standing on.Approximately two thirds of the structure was moved stone by stone to its current resting place on the Hoe.Now standing at 72 foot high, Smeaton's Tower offers fantastic views of Plymouth Sound and the city from its lantern room which, along with the rest of the building, has been painstakingly restored to its original glory.
