Plymouth Octopus Project (POP)
POP+ belongs to Plymouth’s voluntary and community sector (VCS) and is driven by the extraordinary energy, passion and skills of those who work within it. It exists to help bring about real, purposeful and lasting change in the city.
With a team of eight staff and seven associates POP have been liaising with people all over the city to ensure deliver on their mission – more relevant than ever – to build strong grassroots organisations, charities and social enterprises by supporting them to work together and take a lead role in creating change.
POP ideas is the capacity building service of POP+ and provides 1:1 support around funding and business and project planning, in addition it provides group training workshops and funding events. Find out more here

Understandably, charities are concerned about what to do during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, so the Government has set out our response to the most commonly asked questions.
The government wants to assure charities that our approach to regulation during this uncertain period will be as flexible and pragmatic as possible in the public interest, whilst helping trustees to be aware of and think about the wider or longer impact of their decisions on their charity.

An update to charities which have benefitted from support for rough sleepers during the pandemic
Over 130 charities are set to benefit from £6m of government funding to allow them to continue their work supporting rough sleepers during the pandemic. The full list of charities can be found here.
