About us

Plymouth City Council is offering more free training courses in how to provide CPR and how to use the new lifesaving automated external defibrillator equipment (AED), following the installation of five of the lifesaving devices along the waterfront. The training is aimed at Waterfront businesses and their staff, as well as wild swimmers.

The nationally recognised AED course will be run by The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS) and lasts 4 hours in total.

Each candidate will receive a certificate confirming their knowledge and ability to carry out CPR in conjunction with a defibrillator when they have shown their ability to an acceptable standard, which is valid for two years.

Two training sessions will take place, with 48 spaces available in total:

Date: Tuesday 21 September 2021

Location:  The Waterfront Pub, The Hoe, Plymouth, PL1 3DQ.

Times: 9am to 1pm or 1:30pm to 5:30pm
