About us

You are invited to join two FREE interactive Business Support workshops.

The workshops will be delivered by Graham Roberts and Amy Wise of Blackwell Bate Limited Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers as part of the 'Meet the Expert' Business Support Programme and will offer practical advice and tools to help support your business growth. The interactive workshops will be delivered over two sessions and will cover:

Workshop 1: What is cash flow and why is it important for your business – Monday 26 October 2020 @ 10.30

Workshop 2: An introduction to Xero for SMEs - Thursday 29 October @ 10:30
What you will learn?

► The benefits of cloud software
► An introduction to Xero
► How to raise a sales invoice to a customer
► How to record purchases from a supplier
► An introduction to document collection and management software - Hubdoc vs Receipt Bank
► Recording recurring entries
► Maintaining the fixed asset register
► Bank reconciliation on Xero
► Tracking debtors and creditors
► Dividend vouchers in Xero


There will be opportunities to ask questions and receive bespoke advice during the sessions.

Graham Roberts is a partner and director at Blackwell Bate which is based in Saltash and is responsible for business development for the firm. Graham has a range of experience having worked for a big four firm and several other large firms in the South West which he now successfully applies to his client base. He particularly enjoys working with growing clients, helping them with forecasting and finding funding solutions during challenging times. When he is not in the office Graham is involved with supporting the Plymouth Soup Run and is a member of Plymouth Round Table, raising lots of money for worthy local causes.

Amy Wise is a client manager at Blackwell Bate and looks after a range of clients from charities, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of all sizes, from start ups to companies with turnover in excess of £10million. A Xero Hero who coaches and trains a team of support staff as well as clients and is always on hand to support clients. When she is not in the office Amy plays football for Plymouth Argyle Ladies and enjoys surfing in Cornwall.
