About us
Plymouth and Devon Schools Sailing Association (PDSSA) is run not for profit but to offer a range of sail, paddle and powerboat activities at the best value, in Britain's Ocean City. Based near the iconic Mayflower Steps we are open to the public and members.
Get on the water with one of our RYA/ BCU qualified instructors in one of the countries most historic and beautiful ports, or just enjoy brushing up on your existing skills under the supervision of our qualified safety-boat team.
We take pride in offering outstanding sailing, kayaking and powerboat courses at very reasonable prices! Based at Commercial Wharf on the Barbican in the heart of Plymouth. We have a wide range of training equipment and Plymouth Sound provides a great environment for all levels of ability.
In 2015 we gained charitable status.We are an RYA Recognised Training Centre and AALA Licensed. We provide a safe learning environment and have all the necessary equipment to allow you to go onto the water with confidence, whatever your ability.
For individuals, schools, youth groups and any other organisations we offer a range of activity sessions that can be run as; introductory taster sessions, regular weekly sessions or multi activity weeks. All can be tailored to match your requirement.
For individuals and families we also offer a range of club activities, holiday activities and courses. From year round, open weekly clubs through to RYA Instructor courses, we try to pack our calendar full of exciting ways to have fun, learn or try something a little different."
