Over the years, Plymouth has been the home of legendary artists such as Beryl Cook, Robert Lenkiewicz and Sir Joshua Reynolds, founder and first President of the Royal Academy. Plymouth still has a thriving art scene today- just visit the independent galleries on the Barbican and Royal William Yard to see what talented local artists are producing.
