Rockfish at Sutton Harbour gets makeover!
1st March 2017
Rockfish Plymouth is being upgraded and will be closed from March 6th, re-opening on March 24th.
The seafood restaurant has been part of the Plymouth dining scene for the last 4 years attracting a great following in the city and the picking up national awards.
They won 2 of the most coveted awards for Best Seafood multiple restaurant group and the Good Catch top award for the most sustainable restaurant in the Seafish National fish and chip awards as well as positive comment from national food critics.
The restaurant will have a new chargrill and plancha range to give more grilled seafood options, a new bar where people can enjoy some great beers and wines either inside or out on the new alfresco decking and the windows inside are being made bigger to give spectacular views of the marina, sea activity and across the water to the Barbican.
The total investment being made is £200,000. Rockfish started out frying fresh fish from the Plymouth market and the most sustainable fisheries around the world, the business has evolved in other locations, the most recent being Exmouth where the kitchens have had chargrills and planchas installed to make the menu even more exciting and give guests ways of experiencing the South West’s brilliant seafood cooked in other ways.
“Mitch Tonks said Plymouth has always been a great location for Rockfish, one of the best fish markets in the UK is at the heart of the Ocean city & we have the National Aquarium here. Sutton harbour is home to Plymouth’s seafood quarter and we are committed to being a big part of that and attracting diners to the city to enjoy some of the best seafood in the world”.
