Devon is a wonderful getaway for people of all ages, whether you’re after a relaxing retreat, an action-packed adventure or a fun-filled family holiday.
Devon is a county, reaching from the Bristol Channel in the north to the English Channel in the south. It is part of South West England, bounded by Cornwall to the west, Somerset to the northeast, and Dorset to the east.
If you love the outdoors and being active then why not paddle a canoe along the regions estuaries, spend the day cycling the dramatic coastal paths and discovering the beautiful beaches or simply take a walk and explore the area’s stunning landscape.
Keep the children entertained with a host of family attractions whatever the weather - go wild at the zoo, paint pottery, ride a rollercoaster or have a great family day out at one of South Devon's top attractions.
With many towns & villages to explore for those more charming and idyllic experiences, these places are great to visit for day trips and to get a hold of those unique gifts.
Our most recommended place to visit in Devon (after Plymouth of course) is the vast landscape of Dartmoor National Park. An area of moorland defined by forests, rivers, rock formations (tors) and where you can see ponies roam freely. An area of truely outstanding natural beauty.
