The Hoe provides a natural amphitheatre enabling large scale events to be enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors. Ten of thousands of people arrive every year to watch six of the top pyrotechnic companies perform a number of awe-inspiring firework displays.
It has also been home to the MTV Crashes Plymouth outdoor concert in 2014 and 2015, Armed Forces Day and Bonfire Night.
A number of events also take place in the Barbican and Sutton Harbour including the Jazz and Blues International Music Festival, Pirates Weekend, the Jaguar Classic Car Show and Seafood Festival.
We have also hosted a number of large-scale sailing events including the America’s Cup in 2011 and La Solitaire du Figaro in 2014.
Flavour Fest, Plymouth Live Music Nights, the Winter Festival and continental markets take place on the Piazza in the city centre adding to the exciting, all-year-round events calendar.
With these events and more taking place there will be fun for the whole family!
