Eating Out
A CITY WITH TASTE
Hungry for a good time in Plymouth? You’ve come to the right place. With our wide menu of mouth-watering places to eat, we can offer exquisite dining and fun family food, tempt you with global cuisines and whisk you from cute coffee shops to top-table elegance. Top TV chefs are based in the city, we land fish for the nation at our quayside and we are geographically surrounded by some of the best food producers in the country. Of course, we’re going to serve up something fantastic.
Plymouth’s spectacular location between the bountiful sea, lush farmland and rolling moors provides our city, and its award-winning restaurants, with a wonderful natural larder of fine fresh food.
Visitors can choose between a vast array of pubs, restaurants, bistros and alfresco dining all offering a wide variety of food to tantalise your tastebuds. Many establishments are proud to emphasise their use of Westcounty produce and locally-grown and reared food in their menus.
Now in its eighth year, Flavour Fest showcases the region’s finest food, drink and cookery. From 19-21 August, Plymouth’s piazza is transformed into a continental-style market, full of colour and wonderful smells of delicious food being prepared. There are over 100 regional producers tempting you with their wares at this free entry event with cookery demonstrations on the Chef Stage, children’s activities and plenty of samples of superb local food and drink.
