About us
There is lots to see and do on the Barbican this October half term and plenty of Halloween–themed events for both children and grown-ups. Following the great success of "The Petrifying Pumpkin Trail", last year, The Association of Barbican Businesses bring you even more FREE family fun to enjoy this half term.
Briny's Magical Mix-Up – FREE family fun with treats for everyone.
Can you help Briny – the Barbican's little Water Witch this October Half Term? During spell making practice, Briny made a mistake and has turned Bubbles – her black cat fish into stone. Follow our spellbinding trail along Southside Street and New Street to find all the ingredients Briny will need to create a magic potion that will turn Bubbles back to normal.
You will find bottles of ingredients in shop windows along the trail, each one has a letter for you to collect that will make a magic word, when you've found the Magic Word, come back and tell the witches at the Tourist Information Centre to receive your prize. A sweet treat will be waiting for all young Potion Masters taking part.
Pick up your FREE trail sheets from the Tourist Information Centre on the Barbican from Saturday 20 October until Sunday 28 October. The TIC is open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.
