We're excited to welcome Windjammer back to the Barbican Theatre following their sell-out 'Wintertide' show as The Tin Sail Collective with Suthering in December 2021.Windjammer are Jake Sonny Rowlinson, Jeremy Bunting and Fran Rowney, a trio who cast timeless stories in a context of their own making. Join them for a special show at the Barbican Theatre launching their debut album, 'Awaken', with support from Hannah Sharp & Steve Hunt.
They blend self- penned songs and instrumentals with original, genre-bending arrangements of music drawn from the traditions of British folk.
Their creative approach blends vocals, guitar, whistles, accordion, synthesizer and percussion in arrangements that are both adventurous and considered.
Windjammer's fast-growing reputation has led to airplay on BBC Radio 3, and appearances at festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival and Latitude.
