Welcome to House of Marbles, a cherished South-West attraction drawing over 100,000 visitors annually. Whether you’re here to explore our fascinating museums, witness live glassblowing or enjoy family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to discover.

Since our beginnings in 1973, crafting toys, games and marbles, we’ve evolved into a global brand. While our creations travel worldwide, our Devon base remains the heart of House of Marbles – a place where history, creativity and fun converge.

Activities

House of Marbles offers a variety of activities to entertain visitors of all ages:

Games Garden: Play oversized versions of classic games such as chess and Jericho or relax in the sunshine.

Marble Runs: Enjoy hands-on fun with our interactive installations, including Snooki 2000 – one of the largest permanent marble runs in the UK! Set them in motion and watch marbles cascade through intricate designs.

Brass Rubbing Trail: A creative activity that sparks imagination and a hunt around the site! Only £2 to partake!

Glass Museum: Experience 4,000 years of glass making history

Marble Museum: Enjoy our interactive marble runs and view rare marbles, including every design we’ve ever created.

Games Museum: Revisit childhood with traditional games, marble games and bagatelles dating back to the 1600’s.

Pottery Museum: Explore our pottery-making heritage with artefacts, model and the original muffle kilns that connect us to Devon’s industrial past.

Restaurant

Situated in the heart of the old pottery buildings, our licensed restaurant offers freshly prepared dishes crafted from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Start your day with a hearty breakfast or enjoy a leisurely lunch. Nothing is quite complete with a traditional Devonshire cream tea! By evening, the space transforms into The Pottery by Night, offering intimate dinners and themed events in a cosy, atmospheric setting.
