This popular annual event Lord Mayor's Day sponsored by Rowes Honda and Suzuki will again be taking place this June.
This year's theme will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the merging of the Three Towns - Devonport, Stonehouse and Plymouth.
The day will contain a stage of entertainment on the Piazza, a number of community stalls on New George Street and Armada Way, a children's Play Area on Guildhall Square (11am - 5pm) and of course a spectacular walking parade which will leave the Drake Place Garden within the Plymouth University campus at 1pm and walk through the streets of the City Centre before arriving on the Plymouth Piazza. There will also be childrens entertainment around the Sundial area including magic shows, jugglers, balloon making and a spectacular colouring wall.
Play Zones (11am - 5pm) - Located in the Civic and Guildhall Square, there will be skate ramps, climbing wall, play equipment, model boats and exhibition vehicles.
Stage and Piazza - Stage managed by Heart Radio with dance performances and musical groups on stage throughout the day.
Armada Way 10am - 4pm) - There will be live entertainment with balloon making, magic, juggling and an amazing colouring wall in the Sundial area, with old fairground stall and rides near Place de Brest.
Frankfort Gate Area - Plymouth Local Produce Market event, there will be attractions including cooking demonstrations.
Community Stalls (10am - 4pm) - Located on New George Street, Armada Way and on Sundial Square.
Plymouth University (9.30am - 1.30pm) - Community Open House family fun day for everyone.
Lord Mayor's Day Parade (1pm) - Will leave the Drake's Place Garden area. The procession will be led by the Plymouth Sea Cadets and with this year's theme will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the merging of the Three Towns - Devonport, Stonehouse and Plymouth. They will be followed by the huge carnival giures created by local school children, who will be dressed in costume, with the help of Stiltskin - Creative Arts and Theatre Company. Community groups and organisations will follow as the procession snakes through the city streets.
