Winners of Plymouth’s Nutcracker Trail announced
25th January 2018
The winners of the popular Nutcracker Trail, which took place through Plymouth City Centre over Christmas have now been announced. Hundreds of people took part to help find Santa’s missing helpers with a chance to win some great prizes.
The Nutcracker Trail, organised by Plymouth City Centre Company, encouraged families to pick up a Nutcracker booklet and search for 20 8ft high toy soldiers lost in locations throughout the city centre.
The Nutcracker soldiers each had a different style moustache and the correct locations of all 20 had to be marked on a competition entry form to be in with a chance of winning.
The 20 lucky winners have now received their prizes, which included a TV and shopping and leisure vouchers.
Steve Hughes, chief executive officer of the Plymouth City Centre Company said: “Once again the Nutcracker Trail was hugely popular. It’s a great way of getting people to explore the city centre and maybe discover shops and businesses they didn’t know about.
Prizes this year were donated by Lawson's, Haberdashery Fabrics and More, The Treasury, Drake Circus, City Bus, Nationwide, McDonalds, Theatre Royal and Subway.
