So you've experienced the heart of Plymouth's centre and want to visit it's beautiful surroundings!
You can take a boat tour for a perfect day trip to the idyllic Cornish Villages of Cawsand and Kingsand or to the picturesque Calstock and Morwellham.
Or if you'd prefer to do some walking or hiking, there's plenty more to see in and around Plymouth, including the Mount Edgcumbe House and it's 865 acre Country Park and Saltram House which is one of the National Trust's hidden treasures and there are also many maps and trail guides that can help you experience magnificant countryside and woodlands. Some of which are ideal for those history and heritage buffs, trailing Plymouth's landmarks and boundry stones.
Dartmoor National Park is a living, breathing, working landscape that holds the secret to a past that stretches back over the centuries. Not only can you spend the day taking in the rich history, vast wildlife and rolling hills, there is also activities on offer including horse back riding, bike rental and much more. An awesome day out for all explorers!
