Walking & Hiking
With so much incredible scenery on our doorstep, Plymouth has no end of opportunities to stretch your legs, whether for a relaxed amble or a brisk walk along the coast path, both before a good pub lunch, naturally!
Whether you are looking for a city walk, a country stroll, a tranquil coastal walk or fancy going a little further afield to some of the quaint villages and towns that surround Plymouth, there are routes to suit all ages or ability.
The nearby Dartmoor National Park offers miles of breath-taking treks. Why not make your hike interesting by following the tors guide, reservoirs and places for letter-boxing and geo-caching. You can spend hours having fun.
For anyone walking the famous 630-mile South West Coast Path you can now keep a unique record of your journey, thanks to a new Coast Path Passport. The new Coast Path Passport means that you can now collect ‘stamps’ along the way reflecting the unique nature of each stretch of the Trail.
