Plymouth has many transport options for you to be able to get round easily, ensuring you can visit the many quarters and surrounding areas stress free.

Car
There is plenty of parking available in Plymouth. Whether it's in the car parks or street parking, both will require a small fee in the city.
There are over 50 car parks and more than 5,200 parking spaces in Plymouth. 19 of these car parks are situated in and around the city centre, varying from short term and long term stays. Drivers also have the opportunity to move from a Band A car park, such as Elphinstone, Mayflower East, St Andrews Street, North Hill and Guildhall, to any other car park if they have any unused time remaining.
Park & Ride
There are 3 park and ride sites in Plymouth, these services depart from stops A14 on Royal Parade.
This is a great option if you plan on spending the whole day in the city centre or waterfront locations to avoid paying for all day city parking.

Bus Services
Plymouth Citybus is the main local bus service providers for Plymouth. You can find out which bus you need to catch, where to catch it from and what time it leaves using Plymouth City Council's journey planner.

Waterlinks
Take the opportunity to step on board the Plymouth's Waterlinks to create the perfect day out, enjoying the stunning coastline scenery whilst exploring local and nearby attractions.
Explore the city by water with ferries and water taxis throughout the year connecting the Barbican Wharves Hub with Mount Batten and the Royal William Yard, as well as Mount Edgcumbe and Cawsands in Cornwall.
The Mount Batten water taxi runs between the Barbican Pontoon next to the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican (PL1 2LR) to the jetty next to the pub at Mount Batten (PL9 9SJ).
The Cremyll Ferry runs between Admirals Hard at Stonehouse (PL1 3RJ) and Cremyll in Cornwall (PL10 1HX).
The Cawsand Ferry runs between April and October from the Barbican Pontoon next to the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican (PL1 2LR) to Cawsand beach in Cornwall (PL10 1PF).
The Barbican, Royal William Yard and Mount Edgcumbe Ferry runs between April and October from the Barbican Pontoon next to the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican (PL1 2LR) to the Royal William Yard (PL1 3RP) then on to Cremyll in Cornwall (PL10 1HX).
The Torpoint Ferry crosses the Tamar between Plymouth in Devon (PL1 4FL) and Torpoint in Cornwall (PL11 2AX)
By Train
Plymouth is easily accessible by train with a wide range of services running from a variety of locations within England. Although some services may require a change or two.
Travelling from London takes around 3 hours with Great Western Railway, if you're coming from the north, the trip from Manchester can take 5 hours 15 minutes.
