Drake Circus reveals line-up of local talent for live summer sessions at The Barcode

Drake Circus has unveiled the line-up of talented local performers for Barcode Live – with the first session taking place on Thursday 3 July.

Every Thursday throughout July and August, visitors can enjoy free performances from some of the region’s most exciting up-and-coming artists as part of an initiative to showcase new talent and celebrate Plymouth’s vibrant cultural scene.

Taking to the stage on opening night will be rising indie-country artist Liam NB, followed by a diverse line-up of acts each Thursday throughout the month from 4-5pm. There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy, from acoustic folk and soulful pop to contemporary a cappella:

• Thursday 3 July – Liam NB

• Thursday 10 July – Guello

• Thursday 17 July – Route 38

• Thursday 24 July – Amber Jade Smith

• Thursday 31 July – Mayflower Acappella

Greg Lumley, centre director at Drake Circus and The Barcode, said: “There’s so much emerging talent here in Plymouth, and we’re proud to give local performers a platform to showcase their music.
