New indoor golf venue in Plymouth opens its doors
21st May 2026

What began as an ambitious 100-day build project by local businessman Paul Bennett has grown into one of the city’s most exciting new leisure venues, officially opening on Day 181 after expanding significantly in both size and scale.
A keen golfer himself, Paul Bennett - known to many as “Benno” - wanted to solve a problem he regularly faced: wanting to play golf without committing to the time required for a full round or risking bad weather cancelling plans altogether.
The result is The Caddy Club - an indoor golf and social venue designed to make the game more accessible, flexible and enjoyable for everyone. Visitors can play more than 400 world-class golf courses using cutting-edge simulator technology, all in a fraction of the usual time.
The venue features five Trackman IO-powered simulator bays alongside a 5,000 sq ft indoor short game practice area complete with a 42-foot putting green, indoor bunker and dual hitting bays. Guests can also enjoy a licensed bar and Sky Sports screens throughout the venue.
Paul Bennett, owner, said: “This project was always about making golf more inclusive and creating a social space that genuinely feels welcoming to everyone. Whether you’ve never picked up a club before or you play regularly, the Caddy Club has been built for all abilities and all ages, and we can’t wait to welcome people through the doors.
We already have a range of events in the pipeline, including the Caddy Cup, ladies’ nights and much more, alongside private hire opportunities for birthdays, celebrations and corporate events. We’re also looking forward to working closely with the local business community. There’s no better way to build relationships than over a drink and a few shots in the bays.
Most importantly, we want the Caddy Club to have a real personal touch. Getting to know our customers, creating a great atmosphere and delivering excellent service will always be at the heart of what we do.”
Sammie Hortin-Giles, General Manager, added: “Being part of the Caddy Club is such an incredible opportunity and a huge asset for Plymouth. As a professional golfer I’ve had the pleasure of playing on courses around the world and I can tell you that the Caddy Club is an amazing facility for those looking to improve their game.
I will be offering coaching across the week and can’t wait to work with people of all skill and ability. If it’s your first time picking up a club or you’re looking to progress your game further, I have experience of working with beginners through to very experienced players and would be very happy to assist you in your golfing journey.
I’m looking forward to working alongside a great team and making this venue an asset to the city.”
Eugenie Knight, Resident PGA Professional, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Caddy Club team and helping bring this exciting indoor golf experience to Plymouth. With world-class simulator technology and an outstanding short game area, it’s the perfect place to learn, practice, and play all year round, whatever your ability. Having had the pleasure of playing and practising at courses and facilities all over the world, I can confidently say this is one of the best I’ve experienced. I’ll be delivering tailored coaching for golfers of all levels, from beginners to elite players, helping them develop their game and turn performance data into real results on the course. I can’t wait to welcome golfers of all ages and help make this venue a true home for golf in the city.”
This is a new and exciting addition to Plymouth’s leisure and social scene. Paul has invested in the city, creating something experience-led and giving people another reason to stay local, meet up and spend time in Plymouth.
The Caddy Club is now open and bookings are live via the website. The entire build journey - from empty warehouse to opening night - has been documented across the venue’s social media channels, with audiences following every stage of the project including the highs, setbacks and behind-the-scenes moments along the way. From leaks and internet issues to mounting budgets and construction challenges, the honest and open approach to documenting the project has generated strong engagement across social media platforms.
