About us

Continuing from the previous "Tech 101" (October 2020) in Tech 102 we will look at rigging lighting for theatre – from reading and understanding a lighting plot, getting to know the types of fixtures at our disposal and exploring the process of putting fixtures onto lighting bars. Get to grips with the 'bread and butter' aspect of a technician's job, learning the basic skills needed by all technicians, and understanding important elements of putting a show together. This masterclass is ideal for budding theatre or event technicians, and also emerging performers, directors and producers who want to understand more about putting a performance together and how lighting can play a part in this.

The session is led by Nathan Benjamin, Theatre Technical Manager at Plymouth Marjon University, and freelance lighting designer and technician. To watch the ReBels Tech 101 Masterclass recording please click here https://youtu.be/Gu4hHWAmaF4
