Join us for an unforgettable day of Carnival entertainment on Saturday 24 August! You'll find dragons at the event, including a giant smoke-breathing dragon, accompanied by two smaller dragons, promising a sight that will leave you in awe.

Carnival Parade

This year's exciting Dragons and Mythical Beasts-themed Carnival Parade will feature a smoke-breathing dragon and baby dragons, Taiko drummers and more to be announced soon! 

Carnival Trail

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the West End Carnival and embark on the Carnival Trail. Enjoy delectable sweet treats that will be your reward once you've successfully followed the trail! Explore the West End and look out for the locations of 10 Dragons and Mythical Beasts hidden in shop windows. Make your successful entry by 31 August to be in with a chance of winning a £100 Smyths voucher or £120 experience for up to 6 people at TimberVault.

Dragon meet and greet

Meet the Giant Dragon, Ash, as he flaps his wings and walks around Plymouth! You can come and meet him, and some of his adorable Baby Dragons, and have the ultimate mythical selfie!

Plymouth Market

Get involved in a packed line-up of activities and entertainment for the whole family at Plymouth Market. Bring the little ones for face painting and to meet their favourite princess and superhero characters. Explore the diverse stalls and discover unique products offered by their independent businesses and indulge in delicious food and drinks from the Market food vendors.

Live Music

Find a Music Stage curated by Heyday Events with a fantastic line-up of performances from Manuka, Summer and Joanna Cooke.

West End Carnival Preview Evening at Moxy

Visit Moxy Hotel on 23^rd August for a West End Carnival preview evening event and a special “Dragon’s Breath” cocktail. Ash the smoke breathing dragon will be making a 20 minute appearance at 7pm with his baby dragons from 7:30pm. No Booking required.

Silent Disco - Sounds by Jozzy

With a selection of different channels and music genres, immerse yourself in the ultimate entertainment experience at the silent disco, through wireless headphones. Immerse yourself in music that transcends traditional entertainment at the West End Carnival.

REACH Wrestling Meet and Greet

Meet some of the stars from REACH Wrestling and grab some selfies! These wrestling icons will be participating in the Carnival Parade before wandering around the West End until 1pm ready for some photos.

Circus performers

Be amazed by performers from the Johnny Strange Circus including fire breather, Contortionists, Stilts, Sword Swallower, Magician, Juggler and sword swallower, juggler, fire performer, danger performer and stilt walker.

Street Shows

That’s the way to do it! Enjoy Punch n Judy pop-ups shows at Frankfort Gate.  

Always colourfully costumed and bright and bubbly, Angie Mack comes armed with a large stack of hoops and some funky tunes.  She will wow everyone with her impromptu hula hooping displays before getting a few helpers up to show just how much fun it is.  

Armed with over 100 years worth of magic up his cuff Sir Foxley will charm and baffle you with his extraordinary conjuring methods. Loved by audiences of all ages with his glorious penny farthing attracting almost as much attention as his magic!  

Walkabout Entertainment

As you wander around the Carnival, keep an eye out for our walkabout entertainers. You’ll be amazed by the skills of our unicyclist and hula hooper.

Carnival Rides

Kids can enjoy carnival rides at Frankfort Gate, including the traditional swing boats funfair ride and the Chair 'o' Plane ride, where children can reach for the sky! Challenge your strength using a mallet to ring the Striker bell.

Devon Vintage Car Club

Check out an array of classic and iconic motos at this year's West End Carnival. Devon Vintage Car Club will be present throughout the day, showcasing a range of stunning classic and vintage cars.
