Want the Ibiza experience this summer but finding it a bit pricey?

Once you’ve added up flights, luggage, new clothes, accommodation, club entry, drinks prices… heading to the White Isle is sure to be an expensive trip.

So if escaping to the beautiful Balearics is a bit outside your budget this year, don’t sweat – MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds is bringing that Ibiza feel to your doorstep.

Friday 27 July will see Plymouth Hoe transformed into the site of the South West’s biggest sundown party. With stunning views across Plymouth Sound, classic dance tunes in your ear and a laser light show beaming into the sky, you’ll feel like you’re far away from home.

Headlining is legendary DJ Pete Tong, who will present his award winning, sell-out Ibiza Classics show with the Heritage Orchestra.

Ibiza Classics sees epic dance tracks like Children, Café del Mar and Insomnia performed by a 65 piece orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley. It’s a must-see for dance music fans – and anyone that remembers the 90s!

The incredible show has sold out all over the country and is nearly twice the price in other locations, so it’s a bargain for clubbers from the South West to soak up the Ibiza tunes in Devon’s answer to Blue Marlin this July.

Also DJ’ing on the night is Tom Findlay, one half of cult DJ duo Groove Armada, who are established as one of the planet’s biggest dance acts and are famous for tracks including ‘Superstylin’ and ‘I See You Baby’.

Tom has played clubs and festivals across the world, from Creamfields to Ushuaia in Ibiza so he’s sure to bring that summer vibe to Britain’s Ocean City.

Getting the crowds fired up on the night will be BBC Radio 1 DJ, Danny Howard. Danny is one of the world’s leading dance music DJs and an established presenter on BBC Radio 1. Having presented the Dance Anthems show for more than five years, he’s now part of the station’s legendary Friday night dance line-up alongside Annie Mac and the evening’s headline act, Pete Tong.

Most excitingly, tickets for MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds start at just £25 plus booking fee, making it incredibly good value. Not only will it save you a bucket load of cash on a trip to Ibiza, it’s much cheaper than seeing the Ibiza Classics show anywhere else in the country.

VIP tickets sold out quickly but an additional allocation has now been released. You’ll need to snap them up quickly if you want the exclusive experience with reserved viewing area, VIP bar and posh toilets. VIP tickets are £75 plus booking fee.
