Guaranteed to get you feeling festive, Christmas markets are one of the highlights of this time of year and they’re a great way to support local traders while buying gifts for all the family. Here are five of the best that Plymouth has to offer this winter…

Plymouth Christmas Market

City Centre, 29 November to 16 December

With a Bavarian Bar to warm you up, delicious street food (including the much-loved Yorkshire Pudding Van), live music every weekend and over 50 wooden cabins filled with wonderful Christmas gifts, Plymouth Christmas Market is not to be missed! Traders from the South West and beyond will sell everything from fresh produce to personalised gifts – and even real Christmas trees! Don't miss the giant illuminated bauble, which provides the perfect spot for a selfie.

Etsy Made Local Plymouth

It’s the perfect place to pick up an unusual gift, with unique artworks and beautiful handmade jewellery on offer. You can also enjoy live music and relax with a mulled wine from Column Bakehouse.

Festive Good Food and Craft Market

Royal William Yard, 2, 9 and 16 December

The festive iteration of the award-winning Good Food and Craft Market will take place on the first three Sundays of December in its winter home, the Melville building. Make sure you visit for the freshest local produce from some of the region’s best food and drink producers.

Native Makers Winter Market

Royal William Yard, 8 to 9 December

Also taking place at the historic Royal William Yard, over 60 local, emerging makers will be selling their beautifully crafted goods at Native Makers Winter Market. Pick up truly unique gifts and support artisan craft in the South West. There’s also Native Cubs Crafts to keep little shoppers occupied and plenty of Christmas sparkle to enjoy!
