Don't forget to say a big thank you to your mum this Mother’s Day on Sunday 31 March 2019. Whether you want to treat her to an extra special three-course meal, or a relaxed afternoon tea, there’s plenty of choice in Plymouth! We’ve pulled together some of top suggestions for how to spend the day, but remember – places are limited so we recommend booking soon.

The Duke of Cornwall

Treat your mum to a delicious three-course lunch at The Duke of Cornwall’s two AA rosette restaurant. The beautiful restaurant feature stylish period details and a dazzling chandelier, so it’s the perfect place for a special afternoon out.

Lunch costs £24.50 for adults and £12 for children.

Kapadokya

If your family love Turkish food, then Kapadokya is the perfect place to visit for a Mother’s Day treat! The special two-course set menu features delicious treats such as stuffed vine leaves and slow cooked beef stifado.

It’s just £14.50 per person and every mum will receive a complimentary glass of bubbles.

Mad Merchant’s Coffee House

Tucked away on the cobbled streets of the Barbican, you’ll find this delightful coffee shop. They’re offering a special cream tea this year featuring scones and a homemade Barbican Botanics Gin & Tonic muffin – yum! It’s just £8.95 per person.

Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill

For lunch with a view, you can’t do much better than the amazing panoramic at the top of the Crowne Plaza. Book in for the special Mother’s Day set menu at Marco Pierre White’s or take your pick of the dishes on the a la carte menu.

Turtle Bay

If your mum loves rum, treat her to a refreshing cocktail at Turtle Bay. Their new Koko Bellini has been designed with mums in mind, featuring coconut rum blending with passion fruit and prosecco. It’s available from 11 March to 5 April, so don’t miss your chance to try it!

Future Inn

The Future Inn are serving up a delicious afternoon tea this mother’s day that the whole family will enjoy!

Afternoon tea is £16.95 per person, £8.95 for under 12s and under 5s go for free.

The Garden House

If you fancy venturing further afield, head to The Garden House in Yelverton. One of the finest gardens in the country, there’s ten acres of beautiful blooms to enjoy. Mums and grandmas go free on Mother’s Day, and you can even book in for a roast dinner or afternoon tea while you’re there.

Clip ‘n Climb

Looking for something a bit different? Spend the day getting active at Clip ‘n Climb Plymouth. With over 44 climbing lines, there’s loads of action-packed challenges for the whole family to try. On Mother’s Day, they’ll also be offering a free cup of tea and a treat to any mums!
