Cosy Club has ‘netted’ a PETA Vegan Food Award for the Best Vegan Fish & Chips in 2019.

The Vegan Fish & Chips dish, created by Cosy Club earlier this year is made with battered nori-wrapped tofu, bringing a fish-friendly taste of the sea to your plate. The British classic is served with minted mushy garden peas, vegan tartare sauce and chips.

Commenting on the win, Dawn Carr Director of Vegan Corporate Projects at PETA, said: "Plant-based versions of traditional dishes make it easier for people to make the transition to eating vegan while enjoying the flavours they love – and Cosy Club's innovative vegan fish and chips is one of the best we've tried. It's animal-free, sustainable, environmentally friendly, and delicious. Thank cod!"

Amber Wood, Managing Director of Cosy Club added “We are really proud of our PETA Vegan Food Awards win for the best Fish and Chips category! The dish has been such a hit since we introduced it following a staff competition to invent a vegan dish and we can see that the trend for vegan dishes continues to grow year on year. For those looking to try a few more delicious vegan dishes, our famed vegan menu is available all year. With brunch, mains and dessert, the menu is wonderfully varied and even won PETA’s best vegan menu in 2018.”

Whether a full-time vegan or just trying out something new, the Cosy Club Vegan menu offers mouth-watering breakfasts, mains and pud options. For breakfast or brunching, options include the iconic Vegan Breakfast with Falafel, grilled tomato, field mushroom, wood-roasted peppers, spinach, potato rosti and baked beans with sourdough toast, the sensational Shakshuka – roasted tofu in a red pepper, onion and lightly spiced tomato sauce, served with sourdough toast and of course the hugely popular Vegan BLT.

For mains, the Cosy Club Vegan menu offers everything from The Beyond Meat burger, a plant based patty with vegan smoked gouda, to a hearty Thai Green Vegetable Curry or even the Roast Turmeric Cauliflower with dukkah and tahini cauliflower puree. To round it all off, for dessert, you can enjoy the delightful Chocolate & Orange Torte (£5.95) with raspberry sauce, yum.
