Love is in the air and although 2021 isn’t going quite as we’d hoped, if the last ten months have shown us anything it’s how important our loved ones are.

So while we can’t go out this Valentine’s Day, you can still celebrate and make it a special occasion with an incredible meal at home from some of Plymouth's best-loved eateries, which have adapted to offer takeaway food or special kits to help you create a delicious dinner at home.

Remember you'll probably need to book in advance and do so soon, as many restaurants have a cut-off date for Valentine's orders.

Chancel on the Go

One of Plymouth’s best loved restaurants, The Chancel, has adapted during lockdown to offer delicious meals for you at home – all you need to do is heat it up following the instructions! It’s only £19.50 for three courses and there’s a special Valentine’s range to choose from too.

Fletcher’s

Another local favourite, Fletcher’s is offering a truly indulgent Valentine’s Dining Box for two – and all you need to do is reheat following their chef’s instructions. The menu promises to be a feast for the senses, including celeriac and truffle soup and ponzu glazed duck.

The Social Bar

New on the Plymouth food scene, The Social Bar offers delicious platter kits – including fajita and steak options – for you to prepare at home. They’re also offering a special three-course Valentine’s dinner, with menu options including fillet steak, garlic butter mussels and risotto to choose from, as well as a tasty raspberry and prosecco posset for dessert.

Salumi

Treat yourself with a special four-course meal from Salumi. The menu features chicken liver parfait, sirloin steak, dark chocolate delice and handmade petit fours – and you can add wine to you order. All you’ll need to do is reheat the sides and cook the steak to your liking.

Bistrot Pierre

Order a Valentine’s Bistrot Box and click-and-collect from the Royal William Yard-based restaurant. The boxes contain four courses for two people, and there’s a vegetarian option too.

Leandra

Family run, Leandra has been serving up delicious food in Plymouth for more than 30 years. Now they’re offering a takeaway and have a special Valentine’s menu available with two courses for £19 and three for £22, all available for collection from the restaurant.
