It’s that time of year again!

The festive season is just around the corner, and Theatre Royal Plymouth have got some wonderful productions on their stages to get you in the Christmas spirit.

There is the annual pantomime, but about a pre-Christmas night out with your friends to the Stock Aitken Waterman musical I Should Be So Lucky, or a trip to The Drum to see Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas.

Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas, The Drum, 23 November – 31 December

Join Santa as he awakes from a dream of sun, sea and sand only to find it is the busiest day of the year: Christmas Eve.

Watch as he prepares for his Christmas deliveries, feeds his reindeer and finally takes flight into the snowy night.

Theatre Royal Plymouth presents the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre and Pins and Needles production of Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas. Adapted by Pins and Needles.

                     

I Should Be So Lucky, The Lyric, 04 – 09 December

Dive deep into a heartwarming and rib-tickling tale of Ella and Nathan – a star-crossed couple with wedding jitters and tropical dreams. Will their love sail smoothly, or are stormy break-ups ahead? Only time and tunes will tell.

I Should Be So Lucky is about family, friends and being there when it matters most. Winter Lights, The Lab, 13 – 24 December

An interactive festive experience for 0-3 year olds and their grown-ups…

This Christmas join us on a magical, wintery adventure to remember! Join our festive adventurers on a journey through the ice, snow and lights of the Arctic.

You’ll encounter friendly snow beasts and stumbling reindeer on this enchanted, sensory adventure. Join us in The Lab this Christmas for a heart-warming, theatrical and festive experience with light, sound and sensory play.

              

Goldilocks and The Three Bears, The Lyric, 15 December – 13 January 2024

Enter a world of wonder at Plymouth’s home of pantomime, as the Strictly sensational Brendan Cole, Double Olympic Champion Dame Kelly Holmes and Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell join the circus in the magical Goldilocks and the Three Bears, coming to Theatre Royal Plymouth this Christmas.

Returning to his Plymouth roots, West End star Samuel Holmes joins the cast, alongside comedy ventriloquist Steve Hewlett, and renowned TV and stage comedian Adam C Booth.

For four weeks only, the theatre will be transformed into a sensational circus, where everything is possible, and anything could (and will) happen.

This festive extravaganza is packed with riotous comedy, extraordinary special effects and hair-raising stunts!

Goldilocks’ circus is under threat from an evil rival circus owner and, with the help of their madcap circus friends, they’re battling to rescue their Big Top from ruin. Will they succeed? All seems lost, until three brilliant bears join the gang…

Roll up, roll up to see panto join the circus, and be swept away by a pantomime spectacular that’s just right!
