New Lockdown Restrictions
From Tuesday 5 January 2021, new national lockdown restrictions are in place, including:
- People will be required to stay at home and are only allowed to leave home for specific reasons including education, work if you cannot work from home, for exercise (limited to once per day) with your household or on your own with one person from another household, for medical reasons and to escape injury or harm, to shop for food and essentials and to provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer
- Non-essential shops, leisure and entertainment venues will be required to close - though click and collect services can continue and essential shops will remain open. The Shop4Plymouth website has been updated to include a 'delivery' category for businesses continuing to operate. Workplaces should stay open where people can't work from home - for example in the construction or manufacturing sectors
- Single adult households can still form exclusive support bubbles with one other household, and children will still be able to move between homes if their parents are separated

Travel changes and transport information
Plymouth Citybus and GWR have introduced changes to their schedule with a reduced service.
All timetables can be viewed on the Citybus website, or you can plan your journey by downloading their mobile app. Search Plymouthbus in the app store.
In line with guidance from the government, you will need to wear a face covering on public transport from Monday 15 June.
You must wear a face covering when you travel by public transport, including at our stations and on our trains in England. We strongly recommend that you use one wherever you travel with GWR.
Some people may not be able to wear a face covering safely. For example, children under 11, people with breathing difficulties, or those whose disabilities make it difficult for them to wear one.
