Continental Market to make Plymouth return
27th March 2025
A continental market is set to make a sensational return to Plymouth City Centre on the first weekend of April.
The Market, which runs from 4-6 April at the newly-refurbished Old Town Square near Drake Circus, is set to host stalls selling, arts, crafts and food flavours from across the word including freshly baked Albanian macaroons, olives, baklava, Chinese street food and New York cheesecake.
Accompanying the market will be live music on Saturday 5 April with popular band, The Manuka Groove Trio, providing the playlist for what promises to be a memorable spring in the heart of Plymouth.
Steve Hughes, chief executive of the Plymouth City Centre Company, said:“ With the weather improving, we want to give people more reasons to visit the city centre and experience the lively atmosphere in our new public square.
"This is a small trial event to see what people and our businesses think. We hope it will attract new visitors and customers who will see the improvements to the area and the new businesses that have opened and return again and again.”
The market is the latest in a series of new additions to Plymouth City Centre which include Saturday Sessions at the Square which sees live music take place on the first Satruday of every month.
The market will run from 10am-6pm across the three days. Find out more about the Continental Market at Old Town Square.
