The Libertines to headline final day of Discovery Festival Plymouth 2026
9th March 2026

Discovery Festival has today unveiled its third and final day of music coming to Plymouth, bringing some of the biggest and hottest breaking indie artists to Central Park for an unforgettable summer celebration.
Taking place on Sunday 14 June the iconic line-up features The Libertines, with special guests Feeder plus support from Maximo Park, Kid Kapichi, SOFY and Swim School
Headlining the final night are legendary indie rockers The Libertines, whose era-defining anthems and electric live performances have cemented their status as one of the most influential bands of their generation. Expect a set packed with classics such as ‘Don’t look back into the sun and Can’t stand me now’. Being huge fan favourites, they bring Discovery Festival to a close, celebrating what will be a fantastic end to a wonderful weekend of music.
Kerrang Hall of Famers and Welsh Rock band, Feeder, also head to Plymouth. Formed in 1994, the Welsh / Japanese duo Feeder—led by Grant Nicholas and Taka Hirose— have released 12 studio albums, sold over seven million records, and achieved Top 10 albums across four decades. You can expect a catalogue packed with era defining hits including ‘Buck Rogers, Just a Day, Feeling a Moment and Just the way I’m feeling’.
Indie favourites Maxïmo Park formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000 and have become one of the UK’s most enduring alternative rock acts. Fronted by vocalist Paul Smith, alongside guitarist Duncan Lloyd and drummer Tom English, the band broke through with their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album ‘A Certain Trigger’, which produced four UK Top 40 singles including ‘Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti, Going Missing and I Want You to Stay’. Their follow-up album ‘Our Earthly Pleasures’ reached No.2 on the UK Albums Chart and featured their Top 10 hit ‘Our Velocity’,
The high energy doesn’t stop there, as one of the UK’s most talked-about live acts Kid Kapichi bring their explosive, crowd-igniting show making them a perfect addition to Discovery Festival Plymouth’s Sunday finale. SOFY, has quickly built a devoted following, counting the likes of YUNGBLUD, Sam Fender, Arlo Parks, and Tom Grennan among her fans. Both Sam Fender and YUNGBLUD have praised her work, describing it as “proper British music” delivered with “that cheeky, Lily Allen-style attitude.”
Finally Sundays opening band is Scottish Alternative rock band, Swim School. Making waves in the music world, with standout tracks like ‘Delirious and See Red’ , they’ve quickly built a reputation for emotive, immersive live performances that captivate audiences, making them the perfect opener for Plymouth.
