Red Bull Up The Mast returns to Plymouth for its final stop of the year
2nd September 2026

Following a successful event in 2025, today it has been announced that Red Bull Up The Mast will be coming back to Plymouth, to once again test competitors’ speed, skill and sheer determination, as they attempt to grab the flag at the end of the mast.
On September 26th 2026, 200 brave participants will be challenged to take on the mast in a battle to be crowned the Red Bull Up The Mast Plymouth Champion.
Taking place between 12pm and 4:30pm, competitors will have their speed and balance tested as they attempt to grab the flag at the end of the greased mast situated in Barbican & Sutton Harbour in Plymouth.
The format is simple: successfully grab the flag and you’re through to the next round, fail to grab the flag and you’re out. The fastest to grab the flag in the final round will be declared the ultimate winner, and hero of Plymouth for the day.
The event is open to all participants over 18 and is free to spectate, with entertainment and live music throughout the day.
Red Bull Up The Mast events in Liverpool and Bristol earlier this year sold out quickly, so make sure you sign-up soon at https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/events/red-bull-up-the-mast/plymouth to secure your spot.
