1000 Tyres Project Waterfront Clean Up
For Seafest 2025, 1000 Tyres project have organised an Underwater Clean up and now need you! Last year there was an underwater clean-up, that only touched the surface of the rubbish on the seabed. There have been another 80 Tyres identified here with a sonar survey !! Now it's time to clean it up... and that's where you come in... Qualified SCUBA Divers and Topside crew volunteers are needed to get everything out of the water!
The underwater clean up at the Waterfront will happen during Sea Fest, September 13 and 14 from 9am-3pm.
We very much want this to be an event for the whole family, so under-18s are welcome with a parent/guardian!
Divers: You need to be a BSAC Sports Diver or Padi Rescue Diver or above to participate. If you have any questions or concerns, please email the organiser at mallory@shipsproject.org

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to meet the crew, explore the ship, and discover more about the charity’s innovative programmes.
The event is made possible with the generous support of Associated British Ports (ABP), who are welcoming the ship to Trinity Pier for the weekend festivities.
