If you are looking for a stunning view of Plymouth without spending a fortune to do so, you need to head to the top of Smeaton’s Tower. This former lighthouse has a panoramic view of the coast from 72 feet in the air. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse for a nominal fee and children under 5 are free.

Take To The Trails

During summer, you could also take the Cremyll Ferry across the water to Cornwall where you can explore the quaint fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand.

This fun sport is perfect for the whole family and equipment can easily be obtained without spending a lot to do so. With a net and some bait, you’ll have a bucket full of crab and there’s sure to be a fun time had by all catching them.

Plymouth is home to a large range of park spaces that you can certainly enjoy a picnic with friends and family. Whether you are near Plymouth Hoe or in Central Park, you’ll have lush green surrounding you and the ability to become one with nature. The kids will love the play areas, pitch and putt locations, bowling green, and skate parks on offer. Bring some snacks or lunch and relax with the beauty of nature all around you.
