Where is it and how long is the market running for?
You can find Plymouth Christmas Market on The Piazza, Armada Way in Plymouth city centre. This year's market dates have been extended allowing you even more opportunity to explore the stalls. It is open from Thursday 27 November until Sunday 21 December.
The opening times for Plymouth Christmas Market are:
Monday: 10am to 7pm
Tuesday: 10am to 7pm
Wednesday: 10am to 7pm
Thursday: 10am to 8pm (late night shopping every Thursday in Plymouth city centre until 9pm)
Friday: 10am to 8pm
Saturday: 10am to 8pm
Sunday: 11am to 5pm
How do I get to there?
Take advantage of festive travel deals available in Plymouth city centre this Christmas. Travel deals include free travel on the Service 200 bus. The deal is applicable on Thursday and Sundays only until Sunday 21 December.
You can also park for a £1 on Thursday evenings in Plymouth city centre. Visitors can park at the Western Approach car park for just £1 from 3pm every until 18 December. (Normal charges will apply at all other times.)
Is there a charge to attend?
No, the Christmas Market is free of charge to attend. Although traders will incur a charge for items.
What traders will be there?
Nestled inside beautifully decorated wooden chalets adorned with twinkling fairy lights and colourful garlands, you’ll discover around 50 charming stalls offering everything from handcrafted gifts and decorations to stylish clothing, bespoke jewellery, local food and drink, homeware, and unique arts and crafts. It’s the perfect place to find those one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts.

Can I purchase hot food and drink?
There are plenty of delicious treats to enjoy at this year’s Plymouth Christmas Market, from street food favourites and German Bratwurst sausages to exciting fusion flavours. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, tuck into crumble pots, crepes and an array of freshly baked goodies. Accompany your meal with a Christmas cocktail, or head to the German Bar where you can enjoy a cup of spiced Glühwein or your favourite festive drink while you take in the sights and sounds of the market.

Is there entertainment on the Piazza?
There will be live entertainment every day on the main stage at Plymouth Christmas Market. Enjoy live performances from local primary schools and community choirs singing Christmas favourites, alongside an uplifting mix of jazz, steel bands and acoustic sets featuring popular sing-along tunes — all filling the air with festive cheer. Don’t forget to check out the Snow Globe, surrounded by swirling snow and sparkling lights, it’s the perfect spot to capture a festive photo with family and friends.

Is the market accessible, and when are the quieter times?

The quieter times to visit are Monday to Wednesday. Thursday and the weekends will be much busier times, but there are quieter spaces around the city centre to sit and chill out including: Moments Cafe (69A New George Street), Coffee Time (134 Cornwall Street), and The Treasury (Catherine Street). There is also ample seating available in both the German Bar as well as in front of the main stage.
