Are you ready for some thrilling Halloween fun? We’ve gathered a fantastic line-up of spook-tacular activities in and around Plymouth! Take a look at what you can get up to this October

Night of the Dead Zombie Challenge at Dartmoor Zoo 

Head to Dartmoor Zoo to see if you could survive a Night of The Dead Zombie Apocolapyse Challenge. Taking place on 23/24 and 30/31 October, your task is to make your way through the grounds, facing trials that will test your knowledge, survival instincts and your nerves, whilst coming face to face with the very zombies you’re trying to find safe passage from.  

You’ll need to find your way to the source of the radio call, collecting supplies on your way and provide the secret password in order to secure your place in Base Camp.

Terrifically Terrifying Monster Tail Trail 

Take on a spooky tour of the Barbican this Halloween with the Terrifically Terrifying Monster Tail Trail. Collect your trail sheets from the Tourist Information Centre and explore the shop windows in search of the missing monster tails. Find them and return your correctly-filled in answer sheet for a chance to win a prize. Entry is free. 

Creepy Creatures of the Deep at The Box 

Prepare for a spooktacular family evening at The Box. Head to the award-winning museum this Halloween for tricks, treats and plenty of frightfully good fun. Explore the galleries in search of pickled sea creatures, mix up your own spooky sea slime and get creative with mask making. Step into our fantastic den world for scary storytelling, then show off your best monster moves to some spooky tunes. Dress in your favourite Halloween outfit and join the fun! All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

City Centre Trail  

Embark on the Plymouth City Centre Halloween Trail this October. Hunt for the 16 creepy characters hiding in shop windows around the city centre! You’ll have a frightfully fun time exploring the streets and discovering the secrets of the Halloween Trail. And if you find them all, you could win a prize of one of three £50 high street shopping vouchers.

Halloween at Home Park 

Head to Home Park Stadium this Halloween for an unforgettable spookfest! The stadium is hosting two events during the week. Haunted Home Park is a family friendly event not to be missed. Join Kitty the Kit Manager and journey through Home Park on an interactive Halloween mission to stop the mischievous Phantom Player from ruining the day. Explore areas of the stadium, meet spooky characters, take on fun challenges and help save Halloween before finishing your adventure with Spooky Showtime & Party Dances! Enjoy the Halloween Festival, featuring funfair rides, activities, food, treats, entertainment and plenty more spooky surprises.  

For those looking for a scarier event a trip to Friday Fright Night (18+) is a must! The stadium converts into an immersive horror experience with live scare actors, special effects, terrifying characters and more. Your mission is to make your way out of the stadium unharmed, do you think you have what it takes to survive? 

Plymouth Market Halloween Party  

Have a Halloween bash at Plymouth Market in Plymouth City Centre on Saturday 31 October. Don your scariest Halloween outfits and enjoy a family-friendly day out with plenty of free activities to enjoy throughout the event including face painting, crafts, activities and more.

Halloween Bath Bomb Making 

Head to Lush in Drake Circus Shopping Centre for a slightly different Halloween experience to the norm. Create your own bewitching bath bombs, enjoy Halloween themed activities, check out free samples and leave with your own goodie bag at this year's event which runs from 26-30 October.

Fantastical Halloween Experience at Mount Edgcumbe 

Experience a Fantastical Halloween Experience at Mount Edgcumbe this October. Head to the iconic country house for a day packed with family-friendly Halloween fun, curious characters, creative activities and plenty of surprises along the way. 


Across each three-hour session, families can explore the house and enjoy a mix of spooky storytelling, games, live entertainment, fantastical traders, food, reptiles (Friday and Sunday only), characters and Halloween activities designed to make the whole experience feel that little bit more magical. 


Meet spooky characters as you make your way around, settle in for a suitably eerie story, get involved with games and activities, and keep an eye out for plenty of photo opportunities throughout the experience.
