Life Under the Sea
Visit the Ocean Conservation Trust stand, in the Education Zone, and throughout the weekend you can join the Ocean Discovery Rangers for a variety of activities during the festival.
Try your hand at our sinking sharks STEM challenge, seeing who can get their shark to sink the slowest! We also have a fisherperson dress up game, challenging families to see who is the quickest to be fully dressed in fishergear! As well as a variety of artefacts on display.
At 11.30am on both days, from the Ocean Conservation Trust stand, visitors can watch the fascinating Squid Dissection! Learn about the inner workings of one of the Ocean’s most mysterious creatures, the Squid!
This activity will also take place at 4pm on Saturday, from the Cookery Theatre.
On both days at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, visitors can take part in our ‘How to Catch a Fish Finger’ workshop at the Ocean Conservation Trust stand, learning more about the world of sustainable seafood! Our Ocean Discovery Rangers will be on hand to show you more about how to make Ocean-friendly choices when it comes to your seafood meals.
