Family Fun – The Whale’s Tale at The Box
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September, 10.30am - 12.30pm (TICKETS AVAILABLE) and 1.30pm to 3.30pm (SOLD OUT)
Calling all ocean explorers! Join our crew and embark on a voyage to save our oceans. Lear al about amazing whales through imaginative games, use puppetry to explore the seas they live in and work together to create a sea shanty to protect them all. All hands on deck!
These workshops are particularly suitable for children aged 5+, all of whom mut be accompanied by an adult. Please make sure you book both child and adult tickets. Free activity but advanced booking is essential.
Ocean Conversations: Power to People Event – National Marine Aquarium, Sunday 15 September from 5.30pm
The Ocean Conservation Trust will be celebrating Seafest with a special 'Ocean Conversations' event, centering around the action all of us can take to look after and protect our amazing Ocean. Take part in hands-on workshops that showcase some incredible projects and initiatives that you can get involved with. Discover how you can take park in civil action, citizen science and science communication - as well as learning how the Ocean can look after you! This event in collaboration with Plymouth Sound National Marine Park, the first of its kind in the UK!
Doors open at 5.30pm, with the whole event finishing at 8.30pm. Please use our functions and events entrance for this event.
Tickets are priced at £5
Please note, there will be limited access to Aquarium exhibits for this event, and our Waves Cafe/Ocean gift shop will not be open. Our Eddystone bar will be open for refreshments throughout the evening.

South West Coast Path Walk – 15 September, 10am to 12.45pm
This event is delivered by The South West Coast Path as part of the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park event activations. Join the team to walk through Royal William Yard (RWY) and up the iconic stairway to Devil's Point. Head out and round to Millbay docks and then onto the Hoe ending the walk at the Barbican. Catch the 12.30pm ferry from the Barbican back to RWY and see the coast from a different viewpoint.

Seafest Walking Tour – Discover the Waterfront – 14 & 15 September, 11am to 12.30pm
Join this Seafest special and discover how Plymouth’s history was shaped by the sea… completely free!
Find out how Plymouth grew from the small farm of Sutton, and how its rich history of trade, exploration, fishing and the armed forces shaped the city we live in today.
This walking tour is 90 minutes long and will take you around the Barbican and Hoe. You don’t need any prior knowledge of history and it’s suitable for interested children too!
If you have any access requirements, please let us know in advance. The route can be adapted for wheelchair and mobility scooter use.
Booking is essential. Please book in all adults and walking children. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Drawing and Exploring - Interactive Art Tour - 14 & 15 September 10-11.30am
Sketch your way around the Royal William Yard observing the buildings & life that surround this beautiful peninsular. Using Pen and Ink on watercolour paper we will explore perspective to create some interesting sketches of these historic Grade 1 listed buildings – focusing on the architecture (or the views!)
All materials will be provided – just bring you! This is an outdoor arty experience but there will be an indoor venue available if it’s wet!
Meeting at the archway into the Royal William Yard at 10am for 1.5hrs.
