The National Marine Park Big Blue Splash is coming to the waterfront on 23 and 24 July 10am to 4pm, giving everyone in Plymouth the chance to enjoy and explore our amazing National Marine Park, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

There are lots of free activities on offer over the weekend, including a variety of water sports, and although many of the bookable activities have sold out very quickly there’s still plenty for you to enjoy.

Try stand-up paddleboarding

Want to have a quick try at this popular sport? Mount Batten Watersports and Activities centre will be hosting short Stand-Up Paddleboarding sessions as the instructors will guide you through the waters around Mount Batten and cover the basics.

No need to book, just head to the Mount Batten centre and speak to the team there and you will receive further instructions. Sessions this weekend are between 10am and 4pm.

The easiest way to get to Mount Batten from Plymouth Hoe is boarding the Mount Batten Ferry, which you can take from the Barbican landing stage for a small fee.
