Schools are out! With only a short time left until the kids return to school, we've compiled a list of five family-friendly activities to keep the kids entertained this weekend.

   

Explore New Worlds

Take your little ones to the immersive dome at Market Hall this half-term to experience a series of short immersive tales- perfect for children on all ages.

In BUGS: A Rainforest Adventure on Saturday, you can become immersed in a miniature world and get a view of the fascinating universe of insects magnified up to 250,000 times their normal size!

Get creative at The Box

Stop by The Box and get creative in their ‘Everyone Can Draw’ sessions. Celebrating the 'Making a Mark: Dazzling Drawings from the Cottonian Collection' and 'Hannah Quinlan & Rosie Hastings: Portraits' exhibitions, their Our fun activities have been devised with everyone in mind.

No need to book and nothing to pay, what better way to finish off the holidays? Go and enjoy some time together and see where your creativity takes you.

    

Find some fish!

Let’s not forget our Something's Fishy Trail that continues all weekend, and it’s completely free and fun for all.

Enjoy scouting out lots of different types of marine life before completing the quiz – don’t forget to pop back into the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) to see if you’ve won a prize! You can find the TIC opposite the Mayflower Steps on the Barbican to collect your free trail flyer, and is open 10am to 4pm over the weekend.

   

Kids Eat Free

After all that excitement, take time out and enjoy some good food. Take advantage of the incredible kids eat free offer at Rockfish. Their seafood restaurant is open between 12-9pm every day, so you can head to the coast for some fresh air and family time with your little ones then join us for a wholesome and delicious seafood feast.

   

Enjoy some adventure golf 

Why not venture slightly further afield and visit the China Fleet Country Club’s woodland adventure golf course. With woodland creatures throughout and existing challenges on each hole, their woodland golf proves a fun adventures for all ages. This half term they are even offering a £5 per person offer you can’t afford to miss. No need to book, just turn up, pay and play.
