As we spring forward into Spring, here are some ideas to help you put a spring in your step as the Easter holidays begin.

Spring Time Egg Hunt

Take part in Plymouth city centre’s Spring Time Egg Hunt, starting on Saturday 1 April and finishing Sunday 17 April.

This egg-citing FREE family-friendly activity is perfect for entertaining the children over the school Easter holidays. With 10 large eggs to discover in the West End shop windows you’ll be in for a real treat. Each beautifully decorated egg is inspired by a different local habitat in Spring time and the animals that live there. Come and find bunnies hiding in the flower meadows and bees making honey in their hive. There is a letter hiding on each egg, once you've found all 10 letters and worked out the 10 letter word, complete the online form with a chance to win some amazing prizes.

Boat trip to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park

Why not take a boat trip across to the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park? It’s a great place for children to run around and explore, maybe take a picnic too. Soak up the stunning views, whilst enjoying one of the many walks and gardens.

Plymouth Boat Trips offers a foot ferry service, with the Cremyll ferry from Admirals Hard, or from the Barbican or Royal William Yard with the Mount Edgcumbe ferry service starting on Saturday 1 April, linking three iconic destinations on the water.

Dartmoor Zoo Easter EggstravaganZOO

Hop on over to Dartmoor Zoo and join in their Easter EggstravaganZOO event, taking place from Saturday 1 April to Monday 10 April. This family-fun day includes acres of 'egg'tastic themed fun! From Easter egg trails, games, Easter bunny, falconry display and much more.

Plymouth Heritage Pass

Discover more about Plymouth’s fascinating past, with the new Plymouth Heritage Pass - it’s a great way to connect with Plymouth’s rich history. Experience a lighthouse originally built on a dangerous reef 14 miles out to sea, a historic property that has stood for over 400 years and a recently refurbished visitor centre that explores the story of the Mayflower in new ways.

Tickets can be purchased online or at any of the properties: The Mayflower Visitor Centre, Elizabethan House and Smeaton’s Tower.

Easter at Plymouth Snowsports Centre

Plymouth Snowsports Centre has a great range of activities running throughout the Easter holidays, including an Easter Egg hunt to find the eggs hidden all over the centre. Why not join in the all-day Kids Activity Days? Suitable for children aged 8 to 15 years. Also, back by popular demand is the school holiday toboggan offer, four rides for £10.
