Does it even count as a Sunday if you're not having a roast dinner? Fortunately, there are many places dotted around Plymouth to fill your boots with a gorgeous roast. We've highlighted just a few for which you can try.

                  

Jolly Jacks 

Gaze across the water to the iconic Royal William Yard while you tuck into a roast dinner at Jolly Jacks. Serving hearty plate, the venue boasts a variety of choices from succulent roast beef and Yorkshire pudding to a nut roast, all served with generous gallons of gravy! 

     

Salumi 

Visit the popular bar and eatery, Salumi, and indulge in roast heaven! Take your pick from Dartmoor beef, oakley farm pork, butter roasted turkey, mushroom & cheddar roast, vegan roast, and much more. It comes with all of the sides and trimmings and will promise to leave you suitably stuffed! 

                        

The Dock 

Dine with views out to Plymouth Sound at The Dock and their renowned Sunday Roasts. Served from 12:15pm until 5pm choose from roast beef, chicken, pork, lentil & seed loaf, ham with all the trimmings, as well as their Sunday menu which includes dishes such as beer battered haddock, locally caught mussels and a pie of the day. 

               

The Fisherman's Arms

Head to the cosy Fisherman's Arms Pub hidden in the streets of The Barbican for a proper Roast Dinner. Reputedly the second oldest pub in Plymouth, The Fisherman’s Arms is home to a warm and friendly atmosphere and pleasantly situated overlooking the Barbican, selling traditional ales alongside a roaring fire. Roasts are served between 12pm and 6pm every Sunday with a changing selection of fresh meats on offer! 

                         

Bottling Plant 

Situated at the beating heart of The Barbican is The Bottling Plant, the original Bottling Plant for Plymouth Gin established in 1860. Delicious Sunday roasts are served here from 12pm until 4pm with choices of beef striploin, belly pork, and a nut roast all accompanied with gravy, carrots, roast potatoes and much more starting from £15.50.

                              

The Waterfront

What more could you ask for on a sunday other than a delicious roast and a stunning view of the sea? At The Waterfront you can get eactly that. Aptly named, this resturant lies on the edge of the water meaning its the perfect place to watch the boats go by as you tucks into your food. Choose from turkey, beef, pork, or a shallot & dark ale tarte tatin. Whatever one you go for, it is bound to be delicious. 

                         

The Bridge at Mount Batten

Take a short ferry journey from The Barbican Landing Stage to Mount Batten and you'll soon meet the waterside restaurant, The Bridge. Head here for scrumptious roast turkey and all the trimmings with waterfront views across the city.
