Plymouth Seafood Tour returns for its third year
22nd September 2026
The Plymouth Seafood Tour returns for its third year from 16 to 30 October, celebrating the city’s seafood, fishing heritage, and the businesses that support the local industry.
Organised by the Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association, the tour encourages people to visit participating venues across Plymouth and the surrounding area, enjoy locally landed seafood and discover more about the city’s connection with the sea.
This year’s participating locations include The Box, Jolly Jacks, The Boathouse, The Terrace, The Fisherman’s Arms, The Navy Inn, The Village, Platters, The Bottling Plant, Grecian on the Barbican, The Bridge, Turtley Corn Mill, The Treasury, Ocean View at The Dome and Supha’s.
Each venue brings something different to the tour, from seafood dishes and hospitality to Plymouth’s history and culture. Together, they help showcase the important journey seafood makes from the fishing boat to our plates.
The Virtual Fishmonger will also be supporting the tour, giving people another way to enjoy quality seafood at home. New customers can receive 10% off their first order, helping more people discover and enjoy the wide choice of seafood available.
Adrian Bartlett, Director of the Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association, said:
“It is great to see the Plymouth Seafood Tour returning for its third year. Plymouth has a proud fishing history, and we still land fantastic seafood here today.
“The tour is about bringing the fishing industry, local businesses and the public together. We want people to visit different locations, enjoy what they have to offer and ask where their seafood comes from.
“Every time someone chooses locally caught seafood, they are supporting far more than one fishing boat. They also support the fish market, merchants, processors, restaurants, and many other jobs that depend on the industry.
“The Virtual Fishmonger also makes it easier for people to buy seafood to enjoy at home. It is another good way to connect the public with the seafood available to them and support the wider industry.
“We hope as many people as possible will take part between 16th and 30th October and help us celebrate the seafood and fishing community we have here in Plymouth.”
Ed Baker, from the Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association, said:
“The Seafood Tour is a good opportunity for people to get out, visit the different businesses involved and try some of the seafood available across Plymouth. Supporting these businesses also helps support the fishermen and the wider local industry behind them.”
Sam from The Bridge said:
“We are pleased to be part of the Plymouth Seafood Tour again. It gives us the chance to celebrate seafood, welcome people through the door and show how good seafood can be when it is prepared and served well.
Michael from The Box said:
“Plymouth’s story has always been closely connected with the sea. The Seafood Tour brings that story to life by linking the city’s fishing heritage with the people, places, and businesses that continue to support it today.
The Plymouth Seafood Tour continues its work to promote the city’s fishing industry and encourage more people to choose local, wild-caught seafood.
The message behind the tour remains simple:
Choose Local, Go Wild.
