About us

Get Ready to Sparkle at Christmas in Bloom Switch-On!

The magic of Christmas is coming to Stoke Village! Join us on Saturday 29th November from 5–6pm for the Christmas Switch-On, a joyful community event that promises to light up the night with festive cheer, carols and community spirit.

Proudly sponsored by Raybould & Wild, and delivered by Stoke in Bloom, this year's celebration will see the village Christmas tree shining brightly once again — a symbol of local pride, creativity and togetherness. The team are even decorating the high street this year too!

Visitors can look forward to a heartwarming evening filled with:

· Live carols to sing along to, from local schools and community groups

· A £1 raffle for the chance to press the big button and switch on the lights yourself

· A festive atmosphere bursting with colour, laughter and the magic of the season

· A fun lantern parade, with your homemade creations or borrowing one for the night

Everyone's invited to wrap up warm, bring their loved ones and gather in the heart of Stoke Village for an evening of community celebration.

"The Christmas lights switch-on is one of our favourite new community traditions, now in its third year," said Kenny Raybould-Wilding, from Stoke in Bloom. "It brings people together, supports local pride, and starts the festive season with a real sense of joy and connection."

So come along, join the carols, and see the village get festive. It's the perfect way to start your Christmas!

The raffle and collections at the event will be donated to Jeremiah's Journey, a bereavement charity supporting local families, and Stoke in Bloom to support future community events.

THERE IS NO NEED TO BOOK A TICKET, JUST COME ALONG ON THE DAY.
