About us
The Cornish Pilot Gig Association has announced the launch of the GigRower European Championships, a major new fixture in the pilot gig rowing calendar. Taking place at Mount Edgcumbe, Cornwall from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 July 2026, the event will bring together crews of all ages for four days of high‑quality racing in an iconic setting overlooking Plymouth Sound.
The Championships will welcome CPGA clubs from across the UK alongside international teams, creating a competitive yet inclusive regatta that showcases the very best of the sport. With a full race programme, shoreside activities and opportunities for the rowing community to come together, the GigRower European Championships are set to become a highlight of the European gig rowing calendar.
