Pirates Weekend Raft Race

This year’s Pirates Weekend has a new attraction to draw in the crowds– a Pirate raft race!

Crew members are wanted to take part in this new Pirate-themed adventure, designing and building their home-made rafts, then competing in a race in front of the Barbican’s Commercial Wharf at 4pm on Sunday 10 May.

This swashbuckling showdown is the perfect way to round off a weekend of fun at Plymouth Pirates Weekend.

How to enter

Twelve teams, consisting of up to six crew per team, will take part in the race. Complete the online application form to be in with a chance of taking part in the event. Entries cost £10 per crew member with all proceeds going to the RNLI.

Participants are encouraged to wear pirate themed clothing!
