About the artists

Barrel Seagals: Barrel Seagals is an all-female shanty crew based in Bude, Cornwall. Their songs include unique takes on traditional shanties to represent the female perspective, original material based  on local legends such as Nanny Moore and songs written by Cornish women such as Brenda Wootton.

The Busketeers: The Busketeers are a genre-blending, multi-instrumentalist band from Plymouth, known for their high-energy performances and seamless instrument swapping. Their sound fuses folk, rock, pop, and soul into a captivating live experience.

Nat Truscott: Singer songwrite performing exciting covers and original songs. 

Matthew George and Sophie Morrell: Sophie Morrell is an electrifying young singer with a powerful soulful vocal who brims with life and attitude on every stage. Matthew George is a seasoned professional who combines eccentric flourish with driving rhythm to create fresh arrangements, providing the perfect musical backdrop.

Jennifer Jane: Jennifer Jane is a standout talent in Plymouth’s music scene, captivating audiences with her soulful voice and commanding stage presence. A lifelong singer-songwriter, her performances leave a lasting impression.

Chris Linton: Chris Linton is a UK-based singer-songwriter known for his cinematic vocals and emotionally raw songwriting, blending alt-pop and electronic music with powerful storytelling. From acoustic gigs in Plymouth to global recognition, his voice has become a signature in EDM anthems, amassing over 600 million Spotify streams and 1 billion YouTube views

Route 38: Route 38 is a vibrant South West-based band blending Americana, country, and rock influences into a feel-good, foot-stomping sound. Known for their rich harmonies and energetic live shows, they bring a fresh twist to classic roots music.

Summer Nelson: Summer Nelson is a singer-songwriter who showcases her soulful vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and acoustic-driven sound. Her music blends emotional storytelling with a warm, indie-folk vibe.

Marmalade: Marmalade is a Plymouth based acoustic trio reinterpereting classic covers with a funky acoustic twist. Featuring sounds from the guitar, cahon, chimes and vocals, Marmalade provides a fresh take on the songs everyone knows and loves.

Seaweed in the Fruit Locker: Seaweed in the Fruit Locker is an LGBTQIA+ sea shanty choir formed by artist Rhys Morgan.

Jamie Yost Band: Jamie Yost is a soulful singer-songwriter blending atmospheric indie with heartfelt lyricism, crafting emotionally rich soundscapes that resonate deeply with listeners. His music explores themes of vulnerability, connection, and introspection, delivered through captivating vocals and ambient instrumentation
